I believe most people go through their lives subconsciously looking for someone who'll tell them no. That way, they never really have to take ownership or accountability for their output. There was always someone holding them down, something inhibiting their greatness.
If you were given the chance to create anything you wanted with no oversight, would you take it? Are you sure? Because if it's not fucking amazing, you'll have to admit that maybe you just aren't very good.
